Embrace who you are

　　Ellen Lee DeGeneres,乐鱼娱乐 one of the most famous lesbians in the world, has overcome a lot of difficulties to make her well-known and successful today. We always admire the success of others but overlook how much tough time they have made through to achieve the success.

　　When Ellen finished her high school, she had no ambition and had no idea about what she wanted to do. As for her, she just droned away the precious years of youth then. And what changed the rest of her life was a tremendous tragedy that her girlfriend died in a car accident. Regretfully, she passed the accident scene without knowing it was her girlfriend , so she kept doing. After that, she had been gloomy for days but at last she made up her mind to be a comedian to please the public and lead a better and meaningful life. Finally, with her endeavors, she achieved little bit success in her career. However, the more successful she was, the more fearful she would feel for the idea that if she was found a lesbian by her audiences , they would completely stop watching her program scared her.

　　But in 1997, Ellen decided to tell the truth since she didn’t want to live with so much shame and fear and she just wanted to be honest, which meant that she would probably be deserted by others due to her sexual difference. The consequence was she had been out of job for nearly six years, and nobody dared to touch her, making her feel so angry and sad. Instead of lapsing into sadness for the rest of her life, she kept on looking for a chance to be a comedian again in spite of the judgments from others. After all the efforts she had made, she was finally accepted by others and became the hostess of The Ellen Show, which is popular among people from all over the world now.

　　I am impressed by Ellen’s bravery and perseverance after knowing how she became a great celebrity. It must take so much courage to admit that she was a lesbian at that time when homosexuality hadn’t been accepted by the public yet. I consider it amazing because she could hold on to be herself . In my opinion, she set us a great example and told us that we are supposed to embrace who we are and be proud of ourselves. There is no denying that what makes us different today makes us stand out later in life. I mean we are all different from others and being special is acceptable. Just as what Ellen said, fitting in is not all that matters. So why not just spend more time knowing more about whom you are and accept the true self. It is significant to be confident because confidence is the most vital factor to make you look charming and admirable. So let’s just embrace who we really are!乐鱼体育入口
